Not sure if you’ve noticed yet, but there’s a new store giving Capilano Mall a very vibrant and cozy feel! Glara is the mall's new addition, adding pops of colour to our homes with their oh-so-beautiful Persian and Turkish rugs. While these rugs aren't Aladdin’s magic carpet, there’s definitely something magical about them.
Fun fact: Persian rugs can be made with synthetic materials (such as polyester, polypropylene, acrylic, and frieze mixed with cotton for softness) and natural materials (like silk, wool, and even some plant materials). Some are even handmade; talk about design versatility!
There are three designs to choose from: traditional, modern, and combination. The type of design that works best for you all depends on what your design inspo is and your home needs, of course! Whether you're looking for a rug for your grand foyer that needs a bold, welcome-to-my-home statement or a smaller room that needs an accent piece, Glara is your go-to store. I have a small space in mind that I want to add more colour to, and I’m looking at all the options available because, rest assured, there’s tons to choose from.
I can’t wait for my space to look more elevated and simply gorgeous! Persian rugs are basically pieces of art that last for generations. Also, they keep your feet warm and cozy when placed on hardwood or tile floors.
