I love walking through the Food Court at Capilano Mall because the delicious scents make my mouth water every single time (for real). One of the most difficult decisions for me to make is . . . “where should I eat today?!” I mean, talk about variety! With Summer on the mind, my taste buds are craving something BBQ-y like tender, juicy steak with rice on the side (delish!). Cazba Express — which specializes in authentic Persian cuisine — is my go-to place to satisfy this exact craving. Most of their dishes include meats like beef, lamb, chicken, or fish, but don’t worry . . . they have vegetarian options, too!
Experiencing Persian cuisine at Cazba is the next best thing to traveling to Iran (bonus: no flight ticket or jet lag). I learned that, according to Cazba, Persian recipes often use fresh herbs and vegetables due to Iran’s long history of agriculture, so their menu features natural, organic, and local ingredients. My fave dish: the Soltani, which includes one skewer of juicy and tender (not to mention flavorful!) steak and one skewer of ground beef prepared with the Persian spices (not scorching-spicy, simply yummy-spicy) served on a bed of Persian-style rice with a grilled tomato to boot.
Trust me, visit Cazba to taste for yourself what I’m talking about. I know I’ll be heading there myself . . . again!
