Not going to lie, bread is a vital part of my diet — it’s my bread and butter (literally and figuratively!). I could eat bread all day if I wanted to: for breakfast (toast and peanut butter . . . YUM), lunch (grilled cheese sandwich . . . please!), and dinner (buns, baby, buns). I’m the type of person who, if a restaurant gives me bread before my meal, it might as well be my appie (or second meal if I want to treat myself).
Now I am obsessed with a local bakery — COBS Bread — that offers restaurant-quality bread that I can grab on the go or eat in the comfort of my own home. Using scratch baking techniques, COBS bakes handcrafted bread in-house every single day with a variety of flavours and textures. Wow-worthy, right?
The best part: “healthy loafstyle” breads, as COBS calls them, are free from preservatives, added sugar, and artificial colours/flavours. These breads include country grain loaf, sunflower flax sourdough, high fiber loaf, and chia whole wheat loaf. Rest assured, I’ll be grabbing one of each ASAP.
